Your songs never leave your phone.

Songwriter's Calculator runs entirely on your device. No account, no sign-in, no server behind it. Your recordings, projects, and everything you play or type stay on your iPhone or iPad — we never collect them, send them anywhere, or see them.

The microphone is used for three things, all on the device: recording onto the four tracks, listening when you ask the Key & Chord Finder to hear a part, and listening to the room for a moment before a speaker overdub so the app can pull its own playback back out of your take. A USB audio interface or a MIDI keyboard, if you plug one in, is used the same way: as an input to the recorder, nothing more. Audio never leaves the device unless you export it yourself.

When you export a mix or a project file, that file goes wherever you send it and is your copy; we don't receive it. There's no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking in the app. If you've turned on sharing analytics with developers in iOS Settings, Apple may pass along anonymous, aggregate crash and usage data — that's handled by Apple, never tied to you, and you can switch it off under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. Purchases run through Apple; we never see your payment details.
